How to Find us at Cormorant
By Satnav N 051.569 W 000.739 to start of private road, use Stonehouse Lane or Gibraltar Lane, Cookham Dean as the postcode SL6 9RQ Spade Oak Reach is not usually in any Satnav and may take you to the wrong side of the river.
From the M4
At Junction 8/9 turn onto the A404M and stay on it until you reach the first round-a-bout.
From the M40
- At Junction 4 turn onto the A404M towards Marlow and stay on it until you reach the first round-a-bout.
- Take exit to Bisham – towards Marlow
- Pass ‘The Bull’ on the right.
- Take next right signposted Longridge and Cookham Dean (If you reach The Compleat Angler or Marlow bridge you have gone too far)
- Follow road under the A404
- Sharp right uphill at the end of the road, climb, including one hairpin left hand bend, and at the top of the hill turn left at the cross-roads and left fork again into Winter Hill
- Road now narrows but follow until it opens out into a view across the valley
- Continue downhill and at next junction take second left into Stonehouse Lane
- After 20 metres sharp right into Spade Oak Reach (Sign, No through road – no access to river) you should now be at N 051.569 W 000.739
- First 200 metres are farm track, over cattle grid then descending concrete road, left hand bend
- Pass entrance to 'Straw bonnet' at right hand bend, follow concrete road around left bend and you should now be heading directly towards the river.
- At the next right hand bend, to your left will be the gates to Good Shelter and Cormorant
- Pass through Good Shelter and park in Cormorant gravel drive. Please leave gates as you find them.
